Trust & Estate Planning

Protect What You Built. Make the Next Steps Clear.

King Life helps families organize the estate-planning process through PlanLegit, including state-specific estate-planning document forms and practical coordination from first review through completion.

A Will Is Important. A Complete Estate Plan Goes Further.

Estate planning can address who receives your property, who can act for you during incapacity, how your wishes are documented, and how your family navigates the process when you are gone. The appropriate documents depend on your family, assets, ownership, beneficiaries and goals.

Will Package

For comparatively straightforward situations where a will and supporting documents may fit the client’s needs. The standard PlanLegit client price shown in the September 2026 coordinator materials is $750. Current pricing is confirmed before enrollment.

Revocable Living Trust Package

Often considered when families own real estate, want more control over administration, or want to address probate exposure and continuity. The standard PlanLegit client price shown in the September 2026 coordinator materials is $2,495. Current pricing is confirmed before enrollment.

What the Process Looks Like

1. Organize the facts. We gather the family, existing-document, asset, ownership and beneficiary information needed to understand the situation.

2. Review the available PlanLegit packages. We explain the available process and package options and identify situations that should be referred to an attorney or tax professional.

3. Complete the document process. PlanLegit provides self-help estate-planning software and educational materials, including estate-planning document forms delivered through a third-party platform provider.

4. Execute and organize the documents. We help coordinate the administrative steps and keep the file moving toward completion. Signing and notarization requirements can vary by document and state.

5. Address funding and follow-up. For trust clients, properly addressing ownership and beneficiary arrangements is a separate and important stage. Legal, tax, deed and title questions remain with the appropriate licensed professionals.

Trust Funding Deserves Its Own Checklist

Creating a trust document is not the same thing as completing every funding step. Real estate, bank and brokerage accounts, business interests, life insurance and beneficiary-designated accounts can require different treatment. Retirement accounts generally are not retitled into a trust; beneficiary-designation decisions should be reviewed with the appropriate legal and tax professionals.

Common Questions

Does everyone need a trust?

No. A trust can be useful in many situations, but it is not automatically the right fit for every family. The first step is understanding the family, assets, ownership, beneficiaries and goals.

Does a trust automatically avoid probate?

A properly structured and funded trust can help keep certain assets outside the probate process, but results depend on how assets are owned and transferred, beneficiary designations, state law and the specific facts of the estate.

Does an attorney review my PlanLegit documents?

No attorney reviews an individual client’s completed documents as part of the standard PlanLegit process. Clients remain responsible for reviewing the information they provide and the completed documents. Matters requiring individualized legal judgment should be referred to a licensed attorney.

Clear Boundaries Matter

King Life and Matthew King are not acting as a law firm or attorney in the PlanLegit Coordinator role. We provide education, coordination, administrative assistance and technology support. We do not provide individualized legal or tax advice, draft custom legal language, or decide which legal provisions a client should choose. Situations requiring individualized legal judgment should be referred to an attorney licensed in the client’s state.
